Your contact details are shared only with the contractors matched to your request so they can reach you about the project. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. Contractors who receive your information are independent businesses and are required to use it only to respond to your request; their subsequent handling of your information is governed by their own privacy practices.

5. Text messages and calls

If you provide a phone number, we and matched contractors may call or text you about your request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of further texts from that sender. Opting out of communications may limit our ability to complete your match.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to save in-progress requests. If we use analytics tools, they collect aggregate usage statistics; we do not use cross-site advertising trackers on the request form.

7. Data retention

We keep project requests and account data for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your rights” below); some records may be retained where the law requires.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
